A couple of months ago I mapped out my 2020 plan for the A to Z blogging challenge. Little did anyone know the curve ball that was coming towards us at speed. The theme seems now to be even more pertinent. How do we value gratitude in these difficult times and how did our ancestors exhibit gratitude characteristics in their lives?
In many ways my plan was tied initially to my vision board for life this year however I also wanted to link it to my family history. My hope is that I can reveal some of my own perspectives and tie them to the lives of my ancestors as a further lesson: how they showed strength and gratitude over the years, and perhaps how that has come down to each of us.
Perhaps you’ll join me on this melded journey of gratitude and ancestral snapshots. Each day I’ll include a quote from the Brainy Quotes website.
The discipline of gratitude is the explicit effort to acknowledge that all I am and have is given to me as a gift of love, a gift to be celebrated with joy. Henri Nouwen
Looking forward to the journey.
