Sands of Time 2022 Conference


It’s time to remind you that the 2022 History Queensland conference for family and local historians is being held at Redcliffe between 21 to 23 October. This year’s theme is Sands of Time.

There will also be access to a range of companies showing their wares at the accompanying Family History Fair – this is open to any member of the public who might wish to attend.

FRIIDAY 21 October:

Morning: Four FREE talks

Afternoon: Four TO-PAY presentations which require a payment of $25 per session – you need to add these to your registration. You can choose all four or some mix of them.

Welcome Function: 6 to 8pm (Cost included in your full registration)

SATURDAY 22 October:

Keynotes by Dr Jennifer Harrison and Shauna Hicks.

Presentations by Stephanie Ryan, Geoff Doherty, Liesl Harrold, Charlotte Sale, and Fran Kitto.

6pm to 7pm: pre-dinner drinks for attendees

7pm: conference dinner – you do need to register.

SUNDAY 23 October:

Keynote by Michelle Patient.

Presentations by Sharn White and Pauleen Cass.

Fair closes 12pm.

Conference closes 12:45pm followed by a History Queensland meeting for those who are interested.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be bringing your some “Meet the Speakers” interviews so you have a good idea of the presenters.
