Somewhat to my surprise, this was my 9th participation in the A to Z blogging challenge, so I thought I’d revisit the topics I’d written about over the years.
Airports, Airstrips, Aircraft, and Airlines I’ve known and flown with, using IATA codes where they’re available. This is an aide memoir of our travels for ourselves and our family. Hopefully it’s been of interest to my readers as well.
Cemeteries Searching
Re-visiting some cemeteries and preparing a wish list of others for my family history research.
Special Moments, Special Memories
A form of memoir with a focus on special memories I have, sometimes triggered by small things, and other times by “WOW” moments.
Family Food and Fare
I dig through my memories, and recipes, to rediscover my family’s food “back in the day” and how those food habits have changed over the decades to today’s diverse and multi-cultural cuisines. This was a very popular series of posts and generated lots of conversations.
Gratitude
The year’s theme, appropriate in the year of Covid, was how do we value gratitude in these difficult times and how did our ancestors exhibit gratitude characteristics in their lives?
My life in Papua New Guinea
Snapshot memories of my early married life in the then Territory of Papua New Guinea.
How to pursue an interest in family history/genealogy.
Travels through Australia’s North and Aussie-isms.
My theme was a genealogical travelogue or a travel genealogue.

You’ve had some great themes over the years Pauleen. You’ve given me the inspiration to post about my themes. I really don’t know how many times I’ve done the challenge so this well help me work it out. Well done on another year of AtoZ.

Thanks Jennifer. I think choosing a theme is sometimes the hardest part 🙂

I love throwbacks and A to Z challenges! It’s so fun to see the evolution of your themes and reminisce about what that year was like.
